Fully Telescopic Runners

The Miele Vacuum Sealing Drawer can be opened all the way thanks to the practical fully telescopic runners. This makes it easier to load and unload the drawer and ensures comfortable handling. With its stable telescopic runners, sliding the drawer in and out is made incredibly easy.

Storage Compartment

Accessories such as vacuum sealing bags, steam oven pans, or kitchen utensils can be stored conveniently in the storage compartment underneath the vacuum sealing chamber.

Longer Storage Life

It is best to store fish and vegetables in the PerfectFresh zone in the refrigerator for a short time – your food will be kept fresh for longer without losing flavour or quality if it is vacuum-sealed. In the freezer, vacuum-sealing your food protects it from freezer burns and stops the transmission of flavours and odours. Bread and rolls also remain fresh for a long time when vacuum-sealed and stored at room temperature.

Portioning

Do you want to enjoy fresh food all the time? It is easy to portion up herbs, cheese, and sausages with the Miele Vacuum-Sealing Drawer. This preserves the flavour and means you can enjoy your food for longer. Soft cheese remains fresh for much longer when it has been vacuum-sealed. Simply warm up a portion of lasagne in the steam oven in the vacuum bag or portion up your muesli using the vacuum-sealing drawer to save space and keep it dry.

Marinating

To guarantee strong flavours, marinate meat or fish and then vacuum-seal it with the Miele Vacuum-Sealing Drawer. By vacuum-sealing, the taste of the marinade is greatly intensified since flavors do not oxidize. Herbs and spices can penetrate the food directly and intensely – the result is wonderfully tasty.

Vacuum Sealing in Containers

Miele Vacuum Sealing Containers are ideal for pressure-sensitive foods, such as herbs, vegetables, or fruit. It is also easy to portion up cold meats or liquids, such as soups or sauces, in the vacuum sealing container, where they will stay fresher for longer. To do this, simply connect the filled container to the special adapter in the vacuum sealing drawer; the air will be removed from here during the vacuum-sealing process.

Resealing

You know how it goes – after an evening in front of the TV, there are often open packets of chips and popcorn left. The vacuum-sealing drawer offers the perfect solution as it gently and safely re-seals the original packaging. This means that other flavours and odours are not transferred to your food. Your leftover snacks will taste just as delicious later.

Sealing Jars

With the Miele Vacuum-Sealing Drawer, you can reseal jars containing leftover pesto or baby food and then store them safely. You do not need to put them in another jar as the original jars can be vacuum-sealed as long as they are 8 cm tall or less. You can also seal compote, pickled vegetables, cooked food, or antipasti airtight in the vacuum-sealing drawer.

Vacuum Sealing Liquids

Is there anything left of your appetizer soup? Simply vacuum-seal it in a bag and it will keep for longer. Vacuum-sealed liquids also take up less room in the refrigerator. Marinades and salad dressings are also ideally suited to this method. Do you want to transport liquids? Then storing them inside a vacuum-sealing bag is a safe option.

Vacuum-Sealing

By extracting air and oxygen, your food is optimally prepared for sous-vide cooking in the steam oven. At the same time, you can portion, store, marinate or reseal fish, meat, and vegetables particularly well in a vacuum sealing bag. Another advantage: to achieve maximum shelf life, vacuum food before freezing – vitamins and flavours are preserved and freezer burn is prevented. You also save a lot of space in your freezer.

Three Vacuum Settings

There are three different vacuum settings to choose from. Select setting 1 if you want to vacuum-seal delicate fruits that would be damaged by excessive pressure. For meat we recommend using the highest setting 3, and for dishes with a high liquid content it’s best to use setting 2. This is the best way to protect your ingredients and ensure the very best results.

Preparation for Sous-Vide Cooking

The Miele vacuum sealing drawer is ideal for preparing ingredients for gentle sous-vide cooking using the Miele steam oven. The drawer removes air and oxygen from the vacuum-sealed food bags, after which they are ready for the exceptionally gentle sous-vide cooking method – a way of cooking which preserves most of the food’s vitamin and nutrient content and keeps meat and other ingredients tender and flavourful.

SensorTouch Control

The Miele vacuum sealing drawer is exceptionally intuitive and easy to use with its SensorTouch panel, which is fitted behind glass. It gives you direct access to all functions, offering the ultimate in convenience. What’s more, the touch panel is extremely easy to clean and thus requires very little maintenance.

Push2open

Hands full? No problem – press gently on the drawer and it will open straight away thanks to the practical Push2open mechanism. The spring mechanism ensures that the drawer opens wide, making loading and operating easy. The deliberate lack of a handle also ensures that the drawer blends in perfectly with our built-in appliances.

Large Usable Space

Use the incredibly versatile Miele vacuum sealing drawer for containers and bags of various sizes. Accommodating items with a maximum size of 250 x 350 mm and a height of 80 mm, the interior has generous space for all types of food, so you can vacuum-seal as much as you need.

Variable Sealing Times

The vacuum sealing duration is paramount for perfect storage of food in vaccum sealed bags or preparation for sous-vide cooking. For example, thin bags and original packaging, such as crisp bags, should be gently and securely sealed with setting 1. This is the best way to protect food from being tainted by other flavours or odours. For sous-vide cooking in thicker bags, we recommend using setting 3.
