Laundry is the most misunderstood category in today’s appliance world. Customers are motivated by several factors when shopping for appliances. When it comes to laundry machines, they seem particularly motivated by size. If you visit a Midland showroom, we are always sure to explain why this may not be the best criteria to base your decision on.
Customers are often drawn to select the largest possible machine that will fit in their desired space. There is a common myth about fabric care that tells us to run our machines with cold water to conserve energy. However, optimal water temperature is one of the key ingredients to ensure proper laundering. Many residential laundry appliances require a specific water temperature to properly rinse the detergent out of your clothing. This is important to keep in mind. The length of the wash program, the choice and amount of detergent, and the level of agitation are also factors that will affect your fabric care results.
Harsh chemical detergents can often decrease the performance of your machine. It’s always a good idea to stay away from pre-portioned detergent packs and opt for a non-perfumed powder detergent with low sudsing qualities.
